Courier Management System is an Intranet based web Application developed in Asp.Net.
The main objective of this final year project is to help the courier company to
maintain its information system at multiple branches.This application is developed for distributed environment.
This application has mainly 2 modules
1) admin :- Admin is responsible to manage routine administration of Courier Management
System like adding user,generating report,maintaining web application.
2) users:-Users of the courier management system can register,track their courier,get
notification and send request for Pickup.
Courier management system is software which is used manage the work regarding the
services of the courier in an effective & efficient manner. Basically it stores
the information regarding the customer and his material, which has to be couriered.

It is done with the help of some programming language & packages. For regular consignor,
user does not need to enter his/her information & it can easily derived from database.
Total amount is calculated automatically so we do not need to calculate manually.
3 copies of consignment note is prepared by using preprinted stationary. All the
information are stored in the database consignment_details & consignor_info. In
manifest enter the destination on which you want to create manifest. After that
manifest form is sent to the destination branch with consignments. When branch acts
as destination it receives consignments & manifest. According to that prepare DRS(Delivery
Run Sheet). These information stored in the dest_consignment_details. Then delivery
boy sent the consignment to appropriate consignee.
